Most people, including many Christians, have no clue what is really coming. Even many Christians do not have a valid understanding of the book of Revelation. The books of Daniel, Hosea, Amos, Joel and other scripture also offer much insight. These must be read in context together to comprehend what is going to happen in this world during tribulation and great tribulation. This period is much closer than many realize because they are not familiar with the signs that point to its coming.
There will be chaos, war, betrayal, riots, food and water shortages, disease, and so much more. Our own families will betray us. The enemy will run rampant. Demons will attack like never before. Many will be deceived and fall away but many will open their eyes to truth and God's will. There will be volcanoes, earthquakes, flooding and storms that devastate areas. We see it already happening.
Revelation 6 speaks of the four horsemen that ride in the last days. It tells us these things are coming. It doesn't even specify that tribulation must begin before we see the horsemen. The horsemen are riding now.
The red horseman takes all peace from the earth. This has already started. The world is in chaos as we speak. The riots, terrorists attacks and countries on the verge of war are unprecedented. There are wars, proxy wars, and rumors of war all over the globe.
The black horseman brings famine and drought. This has most definitely started in many places. So many droughts across the world have used up ground water. Crops are failing due to many reasons. Food is in short supply in places like Syria because of wars and terrorism.
The pale, or green horseman, is death. It says hell followed him, which means the gates of hell are opened and demonic activity increases dramatically. This horseman brings death in the form of war, violence, riots, starvation, actual attacks by animals and more. This is already occurring in many places. This will consume a fourth of the earth.
The fifth seal is the persecution of Christians. They must wait to be avenged because there is a greater persecution coming. It is the mark of the beast. Many Christians will be beheaded for not taking the mark, worshiping the beast or his image, and not denying Jesus. This will take great faith and a close walk with Jesus to face death for Christ like He did for us.
This is already upon the earth but will continue to get worse until Christ returns. The sixth seal will bring such destruction in natural disasters it will be beyond what people can imagine. We must all be ready. The trumpets get even worse. The geographical areas of many places will look completely different as natural disasters change the face of the earth and war escalates intensely.
There will be earthquakes, volcanoes, pestilence, plagues, terrorists, wars, destruction, hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, floods, mudslides, and so much more. Some people are very afraid and some are not. So, what is the most important thing we do to prepare for all this? How do we stay safe? The answer is simple. Matthew 24 tells us that the last days will be just like the days of Noah. What did Noah do to stay safe? He obeyed God and got in the ark. Today we have a new ark. His name is Jesus Christ. If we want to be safe we must be so deep in Jesus that danger can't find us.
What does that mean? It doesn't mean saying I'm a Christian and then continuing to live your life by your own dreams and aspirations. It doesn't mean going to church on Sunday and then the club on Friday. It means surrendering your life to Jesus completely. Every choice in your life is made to glorify God. If you want that job in advertising, but God said, no, I need you to take this job in the mail room, then you work the mail room. If you want that new Lexus and God says, no, get the compact car and give this much to this ministry or that homeless person then you get the compact car. Everything is about Jesus. When you do that you are being obedient. When you are obedient then Psalm 91 applies to your life.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalm 91
So, if God tells you to pack your family up and move them in the middle of the night from Florida to Nebraska you do it because it might save their life. To dwell in the secret place of the Most High means to be walking in the Spirit and obedient to Him. It means to spend time with Him and seek His face. We must be ready for what is coming, but if we are in the Lord we have nothing to fear. Do not let fear in the door just let Jesus in it instead. Remember not to leave him sitting in the front waiting. Take Him every where you go. Get in the ark before its too late. God bless you and may Jesus keep you.
