Faith Without Works Is Dead

bloodmoon western wall   For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of it all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he have faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; not withstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew my thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faithwithout works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.      James 2:10-26 We cannot claim to be a Christian, if we do not walk the walk. If we violate one law we violate them all. That's why we need the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord. Through His grace and being filled with His Holy Spirit we are able to fulfill the law. We can claim to have faith in God all day long, but if we don't live as we are supposed to and help those in need then our faith means nothing. That doesn't mean we can just pick one or two of these things to go with our faith either. We must have a relationship with Jesus constantly with prayer and word, follow all his teachings and commandments, help everyone we are able to help, and repent and ask for grace when we miss the mark. this doesn't say that faith isn't important. It is very important, but it means nothing if you don't apply God's word to your life including feeding the hungry and clothing the poor and just helping those in need in general. We must love our neighbor/ brethren. We must not be involved in sin, such as sexual immorality, hate, lying, stealing, killing, etc. This includes even thinking about do those things, because if you think about doing it then you already committed that sin in your heart. When we fall short we repent. Thus enters the grace of Jesus. Remember the grace of Jesus is not a ticket to do what you want and get away with it. It is not once saved always saved. You can lose that ticket quickly. Faith without works is dead. Help us keep the ministry going. Donate today. God bless you and may Jesus keep you. Donate Button with Credit Cards
