32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of No'-e were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that No'-e entered the ark.
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:32-39 KJV
Read these verses and pray on them and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and show you their meaning. You are responsible for your own interpretation.
My interpretation of these scriptures are as most saints I know are this:
Israel has been spoken of often in scripture as a vine or tree. The parable of the fig tree states that when the branch is tender and puts forth new leaves summer is nigh. The branch it speaks of is the newly rejuvenated nation of Israel as it states in many places in scripture. So then, when we see Israel reborn,

Verse 33 says so likewise when you see all these things, in other words when Israel is re-established and all the signs listed in the beginning of chapter 24 happening at the same time you know the end is near, even at the doors. That doesn't mean an earthquake here and there and 100 years later a famine. It means when all of these things are happening at the same time. There have always been earthquakes and famines and pestilence, but not plaguing the world concurrently as it is happening now.
The generation alive when Israel is re-established and these signs come to be will not pass away until the end is fulfilled. How long is a generation? We don't know an amount of years because that definition differs depending on the speaker, thus we don't know the hour or the day. As most parables in the bible the parable of the fig has more than one meaning. It means we should recognize the season of the end of days even though we will not ever know the day and the hour until Jesus actually returns.
We move on to verse 37. What were the days of Noah like? It partly tells us in 38, but what it fails to clarify, even though we know this from other scripture in the bible, is that Noah was called crazy, lunatic, and scoffed constantly for sounding God's warning. It goes with out saying ( but we are going to say it anyway) the weather was extreme. Has the weather become extreme now? Absolutely, it has. There are droughts and famine in California, India, Africa, and elsewhere. Simultaneously, Texas has a state of emergency due to massive flooding. Alaska saw 90 degree weather before our southern states here in America and now it is snowing there. The Dakotas, Wyoming, and Colorado saw a snowstorm in May on Mother's day. Over 2,200 people died from a massive heat wave that swept India. It also affected countries as far east as Israel.

Verse 39 says they didn't know until the flood came and took them away. This was not because they weren't told. Though the bible doesn't speak of it, The ark took time to build. When Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth he was 500 years old. When the flood came he was 600 years old. So in that 100 years his sons had wives and they built an ark. God found grace with Noah and he walked with God which to me means he was a preacher or teacher of God's will. This is also confirmed in 2 Peter 2:5. In all that time you can be sure that the people asked him what he was doing and he told them building an ark. Since he was a preacher it was his job to tell them they were found unrighteous by their ways. Now since scripture tell us it was still a surprise to them, we can conclude that no one listened as Noah built an ark and gathered animals. So with extreme weather and the scoffing of God's messengers in todays era at an all time high, we can check that box of being like in the days of Noah.
As a summary of the whole passage, it is definitely of the utmost importance as it is repeated in the bible 3 times, not to mention it is written in red so it is the words of Jesus himself. The same warning are found in Mark 13. The specific verses we cover here are found in Mark 13:28-33, but the signs listed in the beginning of Matthew 24 are also listed here in the same manner. I must recommend you read all the chapters in each of the 3 books where it repeats. The third is Luke 21, specific verses for parable of the fig being 21:28-34. Again the prophecy is fulfilled by the fact that the signs in the beginning of these chapters started when Israel was reborn and like birthing pains of a woman in labor (1 Thessalonians 5:3,John 16:21 defines sorrows in Matthew 24:8 and Mark 13:8) have increased in intensity and frequency as we draw closer to Jesus return.
Now that Israel has been re-established we may start taking heed to the signs of the times that were meaningless until the "fig tree bloomed". As we go you may check the respective categories for signs like earthquakes, famines, and pestilences found in these scriptures but they are surely not the only signs we are seeing. There are many prophetic signs we see which will be discussed in another study. Please prayerfully consider this and know that the end of days is upon us and we must ready our house. Is your house prepared? Have you narrowed your walk with the Lord or will you be found lukewarm( Revelation 3:15-16). We cannot afford in this day with the hour so near to not be right with God. Strengthen your prayer life and relationship with our Father and if you are not washed in the blood of lamb and born again I urge you to do so now. Don't wait! We are out of time. If you need help with this or guidance you may email us at fearnoevilministries@outlook.com as we would be honored to assist, or you may see the video page here on the website " How to live Forever".
